Well, this is the game theory module, so why don't we start by playing a game, tic-tac-toe? >> I love it, let's start. >> All right, let's do it. >> I begin. >> You begin, all right. Let's see, let me see if I can make a go of it here. Well, I gotta block you there, all right. >> Now, I gotta block you here. >> Yeah, all right, well, let me try that. >> I'm blocking you here. >> Right there. Aw, I left you wide open. Nice. >> Okay. >> It'll give you an advantage. >> That's kind of a little sneaky move. >> All right, can I go first this time? >> Sure. >> All right, I'm going to go this way. I think I'll go down here. >> Mm, better block the corner here. >> I'm going to take you there. I think I got you this time, all right. >> Really? >> I got you here, yeah. >> Ugh, of course. >> All right. >> How could I miss that? >> All right. >> All right, I start again. [MUSIC] >> This was- >> Wow, wow. >> This is a hard game. It doesn't feel like anybody has the advantage in this game. >> I think I start to see the pattern. The one who starts has slightly better odds. >> Yeah, in this game. So it looks like the first mover has an advantage. >> And then it strikes me, it's a lot about attention. You just have to focus to really predict the moves of your opponent. >> Yeah, really pay attention to the game. I guess you really need to understand the game that you're playing very carefully to do this right. >> Yes, and you have to kind of get in the mindset, in the head of your opponent. >> Right, so knowing who you're playing and what they're really thinking when it's going on. Yeah, that seems to be a lot of what's happening here. Well, maybe we should explore some games that are relevant to pricing. You want to do that? >> I think that sounds like a great idea. >> All right, let's do it.
