I'm really happy that, I think it's unfortunate that GLBT kids
are still getting kicked out of their house for being GLBT.
It's unfortunate that that is still happening.
But I think we're seeing more visibility, I think more visibility helps.
And I mean even for me, I mean quite frankly,
I think sometimes in the trans community I think I'm probably a little
bit of a dinosaur because I didn't even know the term gender-queer until,
I don't know, until I was probably five years into this thing.
I'm like, gender-queer, what is that?
So, I mean, now it's opened up even more.
There's National Geographic has a whole issue about gender and
the different types of, whatever you being who you are, and
you can be fluid within that.
And I think that's amazing that we're finally having a conversation about it.
Because it allows people to be who they are and
I think that's part of what's the only thing that really I
find difficult is, especially in this current political climate,
is that it seems like while there's this rise in visibility,
there's also this rise in a lack of compassion on the other side.
I think the political climate
seems to lack compassion and feed that and it's,
I mean it's not good [LAUGH] It's not good and it gets people killed.
