[MUSIC] Hello, this is Professor Duck-Joo Lee. Last time, we met a meditation instructor and heard the importance of self reflection and the mind subtraction. By doing so, we can solve our problems, and be able to live the happy life we want as a result. Okay, let us suppose that I have become perfectly happy through meditation. Then what will happen next? Naturally, my happiness will pass around. There won��t be much meaning if my happiness only stayed with me. Because I'm connected to the world and we are one. As we have done the self-reflection up until now, we realized that from the moment we were born until now, we were never free from relationships. We also realized that the state of my mind affects others. For an example, let's say I have an uncomfortable relationship with someone. I feel uncomfortable being with that person. and I don't like the way that person acts and talks. Even though I don't express this, as long as I have such minds, that person is also uncomfortable being near me. But, what'll happen if I throw away my picture world of ��I feel uncomfortable because of that person's actions.�� through the subtraction meditation. Then, I will be able to treat that person with ease. so the other person's attitude will also change. Thus, it seems like I meditate for myself, but at the end, this is for the people around me and the world. Okay, I want us to subtract all the pictures we brought up until now. We have brought up an apple and threw it away in the fourth week lecture. I told you that, mind subjection is the same principle as thinking of an apple and the putting it into a trash can. Yes, it is correct. Don't make it too complicated. - Imagine that you give an apple to an elephant at the zoo. Instantly, the elephant will eat the apple and The point is that it will disappear. The mind world is invisible., we can throw away the invisible mind, thoughts, and imagination. Although we cannot see with our eyes, when we think about it, the pictures came out. Just like that, we must have the faith and conviction that if we throw them away they will disappear. Let us close our eyes. Time passes on. 10 years pass by. 20 years pass by. 50 years, 100 years, 200 years pass by. If you feel comfortable with the method, think that 1,000 years has passed by. I died. It is okay to think that ��it's me who is thinking now.�� Nobody can live up to 1,000 years. so I have died. Once I have recognized that in my mind, you can follow along. I who died and became a spirit leaves the Earth. and goes up to the universe. Behind me is the Big Dipper. and a huge black hole in front of me. As we all know, the black hole in the universe pulls in the other celestial bodies around it. The black hole cleanses the floating trash in the Universe by pulling it in strongly., it also pulls in the things that come up in my mind. and they disappear. From now on, we will throw away my life and memories from Earth chronologically. Please open your eyes now. You can imagine the black dot you see in front of you as the black hole. Throw away everything that comes up into that black hole. Please think about the earliest memory from the childhood. Think about elementary school. The playground, classroom, or any scene where many students were, goes into the black hole. Can you think of your teacher? Can you think of your best friend? As the scenes come up, throw them into the black hole. I become a middle school student. There were times I was fighting with a friend, teasing a friend, reading a good book, or going to the movies. I become a high school student. Think about myself who was studying hard., and throw this picture into the black hole. Were you happy to get accepted by a school you wanted. or were you in despair because you didn't get accepted? I go to college now. Dating, break up, and meeting a new person. going to graduate school or applying for a job. Living and working in the community, getting married, all the way up until now. Like a scene from a movie, put the pictures of my life into a black hole, one by one. Don't try to bring them up forcefully,. Just comfortably, throw away the pictures that come up. We will do this much today. Please close your eyes again. All the pictures I thought about today disappeared into the black hole. You can open your eyes now. Okay, very simply, we practiced subtraction. Instead of expecting an instant change, now please focus on understanding and following the method. It is because everything takes time to follow the course and steps. What's clear is that if you subtract the picture world of the past step by step, your mind will become empty and the stress will disappear. Imagine,. if I didn't have any stress, how would I act towards others? Looking back, how was your relationships with your siblings, parents, and the children? What about your relations with friends and co-workers? Who should change first? In my daily life, if I want to become happy and make others happy too, through the subtraction meditation, you can achieve your dreams. Not just talking or in theory., this meditation works in reality. Then, I will see you in the next class. Thank you.
