My colleague Ernest Duplessis,
is going to explore why storytelling is at the heart of leadership.
His own leadership role in a Fortune 50 company, plus his teaching experience,
make him an ideal storyteller about storytelling.
He'll make a compelling case for how to use this simple, yet
powerful tool to move people to action.
>> In this module, you'll learn about the art of storytelling made simple.
And by the end of this four part video series, you'll learn to use storytelling
as a powerful strategic communications tool, to inform, engage,
motivate, and inspire those key audiences that are critical to your success.
In particular, you'll learn the characteristics of a great story,
how it all starts with the audience, and then we'll dive into how to
prioritize those audiences, or stakeholders, for maximum impact.
Later in the series, Charlie Thornton of the Sheffield Company,
will introduce you to a concept of visual mind mapping,
as a way of helping you to effectively structure your story.
Charlie will then provide you with a couple of powerful examples of great
storytelling, and demonstrate how the mind mapping process works.
By the end of this module, you'll understand why so
many of today's top business leaders are so eager to master and
apply storytelling as a key competency of leadership.
Fasten your seatbelts, you're in for a great ride.
