Professor Tsang, before we start this session what are some of the main concepts that we're going to be talking about? >> Well in this session I think what we are going to be covering is the kind of preparatory work that we think people should be paying attention to. So we will be talking about what we should be thinking about before you even start developing a relationship. So under that broad topic we will be looking at the kind of scripts that people would be following, the kind of traps involved in following the scripts, and how we're going to be developing or authoring our own scripts. And then you would also be dealing with this big issue of when we are doing things sort of systematically and methodologically, what happens to these conventional ideas of romance and spontaneity. And, some people sort of get fascinated by the idea of destiny, serendipity, and fate, and all that. So that is like one big piece. And then the other part of course is, we are in a sort of a more practice-oriented mode here, then if we still have time in session two, we obviously would want to cover what do you actually do when you start a relationship? We'll be talking about the initial contact, engagement and those. That probably would be what I would like to cover in this session. >> In this module, you'll learn many practical skills in establishing and maintaining a relationship. Topics that'll be covered are social scripts and traps, game plan, spontaneity, managing differences and lastly, initial contacts.
