[MUSIC] Now I want to talk about signed English, or C. There's four different sign systems under this umbrella. There's C1, C2, LOVE, and PSE. The first two are very similar. C1, that's a very old sign system and which has morphed into what we'll call C2. Let me tell you about it. It's basically signing English in English order, and it's not a visual sign system. You're not creating a picture. So from every word basically you have a sign. And you sign it in the correct English order. Let's move on to LOVE. That stands for Linguistics Of Visual English. This sign system is not in use today. The last one is Pidgin Signed English, or PSE. It's not called PSE, really, anymore. We call it contact sign language. And that's the sign for contact. Basically what happens is you have the English baseline systems and ASL. And these two systems or languages come in contact with each other and kind of morph into their own, borrow from each other.
