Let's walk through different ad formats and look at a few examples to get familiar with the ad format options that you have in ads manager. To create our ad and choose our ad format, we navigate to the ad level of the campaign creation process. And let's begin with a single image ad. One image and an ad gives you a clean, simple format to use with an inspiring visual, an engaging copy. And this basic format is the most popular format, especially for organizations that are new to Facebook's and they're still learning about what works for them and what doesn't. Creating an image ad is similar to creating is simple Page Post with a photo. The ads manager will upload a great photo and add engaging text. Have a look at how a few different advertisers made use of the single image ad in these examples. One thing to keep in mind when creating images and videos for your ads is to choose the right aspect ratio which refers to width to height ratio of these ads. And different aspect ratios suit different placements informants. Facebook provides recommended aspect ratios for different placements informants, which we recommend using. In ads manager lets us preview them. We'll go over this later. The next option is the single video ad and over 100 million hours of video. I watched every day on Facebook. That's more video than you could watch and 11000, years. Single video ad format is designed to reflect the way people actually consume video from bite size videos, they watch on the go, to longer video styles they watch on the couch. Check out these examples of how a few different advertisers made use of the single video ad format. You will want to use video to make it memorable human connection with your viewers. Use it to tell stories, to show how people are using your products or services, to show the impact of your work and to help people understand who you are as an organization and you can build trust in connection with your audience this way. In ads manager you will upload a video and add engaging text. Depending on the placement there are certain length restrictions you want to keep in mind when creating your video. In stream and stories videos can't be as long as those in Facebook feed for example. In ads manager also offers a video creation kit tool. If you want to leverage the power video but without the time and production expense, this slide show format can be a great choice. Slide show ads a video like ad that uses motion, sound and text to tell you a story beautifully across devices in an average connection speed. Creating a slide show ad is easy, will select up to 10 images or video in automatically create a slideshow to tell a story that develops overtime. Can even create a slideshow ad out of stock images available in ads manager or include an existing video. Another way to present multiple images or videos, is the carousel ad format. The carousel format allows you to showcase up to 10 images or videos within a single ad, each with its own link. With more creative space within an ad, you can highlight different products, showcase specific details about 1 product, service or promotion, or tell a story about your brand that develops across each carousel card. The key advantage to this format is that you can put a call to action on each card of the carousel, and this means you have the potential to drive people to different URLs based on what they are interested in. Here, are some ways to use the carousel format. You can show multiple products. This gives customers more options and encourages them to purchase things by showing a different product on each carousel card links to different landing pages. You can highlight different features of a single product. This uses each carousel card to show different product angles or provide details about products to better inform customers. You can tell a story. Use images or videos in succession to illustrate a compelling narrative. You can explain a process, walk people through how your business or product works step by step. Last ad format is called the collection ad. Collection is an ad format that makes it easier for people to discover, browse and purchase products and services from the mobile device in visual and immersive way. Collections, people who tap on your ad can browse more products or learn about the features of a specific product in a fast loading full screen experience, all without leaving the Facebook app. Collection ad has a lead video or image at the top followed by 4 product images below. If someone taps on the ad, it can open up a broader catalog up to 50 different products. Then if they tap on a specific product, they would be taken to the advertisers website or app to make the purchase. Have a look at this example here. It's important to remember that the collection ad format is only available if you select one of four campaign objectives. Traffic conversions, catalog sales and store traffic. The collection ad automatically comes with what Facebook calls instant experience. You can also add this feature to every other ad format. Instant experience is basically a full screen mobile optimized landing page that you built directly in ads manager. This experience opens instantly after someone taps your ad on a mobile device.
