Bio

Dan Wolf Meyrowitsch, an Associate Professor and Epidemiologist at Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen, has more than twenty years of research experience in the field of public health with specific focus on epidemiology and control of parasitic infections. He has lived and worked in Eastern Africa and South-East Asia for a total period of 10 years. In recent years he has focused his research on epidemiological transition, life conditions and non-communicable diseases and the interaction between local communities and mass-drug-administration programmes. He is a member of several multidisciplinary research groups with on-going projects in Tanzania and Vietnam. Dan Meyrowitsch is responsible for the core module at Master of International Health, University of Copenhagen and has worked for national and international organizations, including World Health Organization and the World Bank.
