Xavier Pavie is a senior researcher and lecturer in innovation management and strategic marketing of services. He is also responsible for different undergraduate, graduate and executive education programs. He holds a doctorate from Paris West University, a master in business science as well as a master in philosophy. He is also research-associate at IREPH (Institut Recherche Philosophique), Université Paris Ouest. Xavier has successfully held executive positions in leading companies for 15 years (Nestlé, Unilever, Club Meditérranée ). After serving for several years as a marketing director with a particular focus on service innovation, he decided to join the academic sphere to strengthen ESSEC in the field of innovation management. Xaviers’ publications emphasise philosophical approaches to innovation management and particularly the notion of ‘responsible-innovation’ as a source of innovation and performance. He has published several articles and books on philosophy and on innovation. He’s the author of the recently published (2012) books : Innovation-responsable : stratégie et levier de croissance pour les organisations (Eyrolles) and Les exercices spirituels antiques, la philosophie comme manière de vivre (Les Belles Lettres).
