Kirill S. Tikhonov is an senior lecturer at St. Petersburg State University. He performed his PhD work on the modal analysis of quantum memory on cold and warm atomic ensembles under the supervision of Prof. Tatiana Yu. Golubeva. The main area of his current research interests is light-matter interfaces, quantum memories, quantum simulators and hybrid quantum systems. He also works in collaboration with Prof. Klemens Hammerer on the theoretical questions regarding the description of superradiant lasers, and, more generally, a cumulant analysis of collective effects in spin-polarized atomic ensembles.
