Doctor in Art History
Noemi Álvarez da Silva is a Doctor in Art History from the University of León, Spain (2014). Her Thesis deals with the Christian ivory workshops developed in the Iberian Peninsula during the eleventh century. Her current research is devoted to Medieval Sumptuary Arts and patronage. She received a grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (2011-2013) in order to develop her PhD project and she spent research stays at the Warburg Institute in London (2011) and at the Hispanic Society of America in New York (2012). She worked at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich (2014).
