Ms Julia Kennedy

Associate Lecturer on Health Management

Bio

Julia is an Associate Lecturer on the Health Management program in the School of Public Health and Community Medicine. She worked previously in clinical education and epidemiological research in Australia, and spent ten years working in health and social services in New Zealand. Julia is a Registered Nurse, and has practiced clinically in a variety of mental health and addiction services. She completed her Master of Public Health and Master of Health Management at UNSW Australia in 2014, and then secured a three month internship with the World Health Organization in Manila.

As part of the Health Management team, Julia is working on research projects which integrate health leadership and organisational development. Julia is particularly interested in the impact of culture, both as a contextual factor in health service delivery but also from the perspective of the aspects of organisational culture that drive engagement and enable strategic change in health organizations.
