Juliette Passer is an accomplished senior executive, educator, director, and sustainability advisor, steeped in International, and the ability to help companies, non-profit organizations and intergovernmental agencies in navigating the complex global environments of private and public international law and the United Nations. She has performed successfully in that role for over twenty-five years, also serving as counsel to the legal implications and nuances of these expansions. Additionally, Juliette brings to the equation an extensive background in working with governments, and political organizations as well as multilateral institutions and the UN, to achieve these goals. As such, she brings a unique business and legal understanding of international business transactions, international arbitration and political environments in architecting cross-border investments and projects. She is particularly adept knowledgeable in markets including the former USSR, Eastern and Western Europe, China, Turkey, and Panama. Finally, Juliette has extensive experience on numerous private Boards, and is available for suitable Board engagements, including non-profits and NGOs. Following the completion of her legal studies, Juliette gained her legal and international experience as corporate Associate with the New York offices of Debevoise & Plimpton, as well as Senior Associate with Patterson, Belknap Webb & Tyler, LLP. She gained exposure to corporate finance, general corporate practice, and international project development for clients. Her responsibilities included negotiating lending, stock purchase, licensing, distribution and joint venture agreements, with funding range between $80 million to $300,000 million, in addition to opening a Moscow office. She trained Russian attorneys under the auspices of the American Bar Association (she is a member) and Council for Trade and Economic Cooperation (Board Member). Juliette is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Leadership Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors. Today, Juliette is CEO & General Counsel of the International Project Development Group, a New York practice specializing in the broad range of domestic and international transactions, representing both US and foreign clients. Since 1996, they have been counsel in sectors ranging from aviation to pharmaceuticals, telecom, manufacturing, entertainment, and petrochemicals. She is a Founding Board Member of the International Center for Transport Diplomacy, a UN Type II NGO. Additionally, Juliette has brought her expertise to thousands of individuals worldwide through her engaging seminars and courses. She has lectured US and international audiences on issues of law and commerce, with a particular expertise in emerging markets, the Internet, sustainability, and gender diversity, including Stony Brook University and others. Juliette is an experienced Board Director, having served on twenty Boards, including numerous non-profits. Juliette completed law studies from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, graduating cum laude, and serving as President of the International Law Society. She also undertook special studies in Soviet Law at the Columbia School of Law. She holds a Master of Arts in Music Education and a B.M. in Harp Performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Juliette has two grown children, resides on Long Island, and enjoys studying Eastern philosophy, scuba diving, ballroom dancing, and playing the harp.
