Jessica Cinco

Senior Global Educator

Bio

Jessica Cinco has been teaching in the ESL field for almost 20 years, both abroad and in the United States. Currently, as a Senior Global Educator at Arizona State University Global Launch, she supports English language education in a variety of ways: designing online English courses, hosting webinars and leading teacher trainings for English language instructors, teaching English to students in person and online, and so much more. She also helped create and instruct ASU's award-winning TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate course on Coursera, Teach English Now! Prior to coming to ASU in 2013, Jessica taught at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO and Chosun University in Gwangju, South Korea. She holds a bachelor's degree from Truman State University (Kirksville, MO) in German and Communications and a master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Her professional development interests include integrating Dr. Brené Brown's work on empathy, vulnerability and leadership and Dr. Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication (NVC) practices into her various roles at Global Launch and ASU. She has completed Brené Brown's Dare To Lead training and more than 200+ hours of Nonviolent Communication training.
