Bio

Eric is the Managing Director of the <a href="http://wwa.colorado.edu" title="Link: http://wwa.colorado.edu">Western Water Assessment</a>, a NOAA-funded <a href="http://cpo.noaa.gov/ClimatePrograms/ClimateandSocietalInteractions/RISAProgram.aspx">RISA</a> program that works to connect climate science to water&nbsp;and other natural resource management in the Intermountain West. As&nbsp;Managing Director, Eric is responsible for WWA's overall program&nbsp;administration and management, coordinating the research agenda, and&nbsp;other logistical and outreach activities. In addition, he is as an&nbsp;Associate Scientist at the Cooperative Institute for Research in&nbsp;Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder and has&nbsp;published on the watershed impacts of tree mortality due to bark beetle&nbsp;infestation. <br> <br>Prior to joining WWA, Eric received his Master¹s in Environmental Studies&nbsp;from the University of Colorado Boulder. He also served as a legislative&nbsp;director and aide in the United States Congress for six years,&nbsp;specializing in environmental and energy issues. Eric holds a Bachelor¹s&nbsp;in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania. <br> <br>When he is not busy creating a course on Water in the Western US, Eric is out skiing and snowshoeing on water in its frozen form!
