Google Corporate Operations Engineer

Bio

David provided technical support for terminal emulation and networking software for three years before becoming a Unix/Linux Systems Administrator at a Seattle software company in 1997. He joined Google as a Linux Systems Administrator in 2005 and worked as a Site Reliability Engineer on the corp messaging (email) and infrastructure (DHCP/DNS/LDAP) teams. In 2009, David moved into a Corporate Operations Engineer role, and for the last few years has been providing Linux, networking and network security training to Google's internal support staff. To date, he has trained over 300 support staff internationally and continues to work on training material to get Google’s IT Interns up to speed quickly.
